West Ham plan triple transfer raid on Birmingham

West Ham's new owners plan to raid their old club for three Birmingham stars - escalating the war with Carson Yeung even further.

Yeung is suing David Sullivan and David Gold after probing City’s finances following his £80million Blues takeover.

And Hammers’ duo Sullivan and Gold are willing to risk upsetting Yeung further with a triple swoop for Liam Ridgewell, Sebastian Larsson and Christian Benitez.

Defender Ridgewell and midfielder Larsson are both out of contract this summer and are talking to Brum over new long-term deals.

Geremi completes Newcastle United exit to Ankaragucu

Newcastle United have confirmed that midfielder Geremi has joined Turkish side Ankaragucu, following lengthy talks to complete the deal.

There had been confusion surrounding the move after the player was presented to supporters of the Turkish club before a deal had been reached.

However, following his involvement with Cameroon at the Africa Cup of Nations, the clubs have now reached agreement.

His last appearance for Newcastle came against Scunthorpe in October.

Man City sign Adam Johnson from Middlesbrough

Manchester City swooped to seal the signing of Middlesbrough winger Adam Johnson with minutes to spare at the end of the January transfer window.

Johnson travelled to Manchester for talks on Monday afternoon after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old passed a medical and signed a contract until June 2014.

City boss Roberto Mancini said: "Adam is a very good player with fantastic potential, and as a club we are always keen to sign British talent."

West Ham and Spurs in talks over Robbie Keane

Tottenham want a stunning £1 million loan fee for skipper Robbie Keane - a shock deadline day target for struggling West Ham.

And Spurs have told the Hammers that they will also have to pay the Republic of Ireland striker's £70,000-a-week wages in full for the rest of the season to have him.

Hammers supremo David Sullivan is desperate to land Keane as a trophy capture for his club. He would prefer to have him on loan with a view to a full-time deal, but was quoted those sky-high figures yesterday.

Man City launch £20million deadline day move for Real Madrid star

Big spending Manchester City are set to make a beat-the-deadline £20m offer for Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago.

Gago’s agent Marcello Lombilla says City have been in touch and made it clear they are still in the hunt for the Argentinian midielder.

Lombilla said: “Manchester City will present a formal offer to Real Madrid on Monday and then the decision is up to Real Madrid and we are awaiting an answer.”

City boss Roberto Mancini has already had one £17m offer turned down but is still keen to strengthen his midfield before the window shuts.
